Some wines of France

Apart from the typical varieties of other regions such as the whites (blanc), rosé (rosé), and reds (rouge), in France we can find two specific types of wine:

Vin gris

This is a white wine made from red grapes, in particular the Pinot Noir variety. The skin is separated from the pulp to isolate the color compounds coming from the skin.  This is mainly an undisputable French wine, particularly relevant in the regions of Lorena, Midi and the Loire Valley.

Champagne

So, this is the most famous French wine, one of the protagonists of wine tourism routes in France. It is a sparkling white or rosé wine produced in the region of Champagne since the seventeenth century, when it was largely consumed in the English and French Courts. It became internationally renowned after its refinement, promoted by the Benedictine monk Dom Perignon.

The production process is based on the double fermentation system, the first in barrel and the second in the bottle; currently the Champagne mark is associated with luxury and celebration. Activities in the wineries of the region include wine-pairings with cheeses, cultural visits or boat excursions in the lakes.

Mainly Cities, wineries, wines, great food, landscapes… France will give you an unforgettable and unique experience.
